The Monadnock Paper Mills Award of Excellence
Contest Rules
Since the earliest time, the human spirit has pushed man to new heights of achievement. This spirit is reflected in the symbol of our company and the name Monadnock, whose native translation is "one that stands alone." We celebrate the virtue of achievement in the Monadnock Graphic Awards Program, recognizing projects of superior quality printed on Monadnock papers. Each Quarter, the Monadnock Award of Excellence expresses our admiration for the talents of the graphic arts professionals who create fine work on our papers.
Call for Entries
Submissions should include five printed samples and a completed entry form. They should be sent to Monadnock or to your Monadnock merchant. Please include any pertinent production details. There is no fee to enter.
Eligibility
Any creative project executed in whole or in part on Monadnock papers is eligible for entry.
Awards
Entries exhibiting superior creativity and craftsmanship in graphic communications earn an Award of Excellence. A framed award is presented to the designer, printer, agency, client, and merchant associated with the project.
Judging
Judging takes place quarterly by an independent panel of design professionals. Following the fourth quarter judging, all winning entries for the year are judged for "best of the best." Overall winners for the year are awarded a unique granite award.
The application of the judging criteria shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the judges and all decisions are final.
Submissions Deadline
The Graphic Awards program is on going, and entries may be submitted at any time.
Ownership
Upon submission, all submitted samples or any other submitted materials, whether in the nature of an idea or any other content or material (collectively, the "Materials") shall become the sole property of Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc. ("MPM") and will not be returned to the entrant.
Right to Use
In consideration of, and as a condition to, the eligibility of each entry under the terms of these contest rules, each entrant hereby authorizes MPM to use and/or authorize others to use all or part of the Materials. MPM shall have the right to use and change the Materials in any manner that MPM may determine. The entrant shall have no claim or other recourse against MPM for infringement of any proprietary right in any Materials. Submitting parties will not be paid for submitted Materials or for the granting of any rights.
Use of Winner's Information
An entrant's submission of Materials constitutes permission for MPM to use contestant's name, photograph, likeness, Materials, and other material provided in the contest entry for any business purpose, including for promotional purposes in any media.
Warranty
By entering the contest, each entrant warrants and represents that the entrant has all necessary rights in and to such Materials provided by the entrant and all information they contain, that the Materials do not violate any applicable law, that the Materials do not infringe or violate any intellectual property right held by a third party, and that the Materials may be utilized for all purposes without obtaining permission from, or making any payment to, any third party.
Indemnification
By submitting any Materials, the entrant agrees to release, discharge, defend, and hold harmless MPM its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, licensees, and assigns, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any claim, liability loss, expense (including attorneys fees) arising from or related to submission and/or use of the Materials.
